It all begins in a unique ecosystem where our Apis mellifera bees thrive — surrounded by wild acacia trees and nourished by peat swamp water. These peaty waters, naturally tinted reddish-black from decomposed organic matter, serve as the bees’ primary water source. As a result, the freshly harvested honey reveals a deep reddish hue that darkens over time into a rich black — a transformation that reflects the honey’s purity and natural aging process.

Our bees are Apis mellifera, also known as the Western honey bee — one of the most widely known and respected honeyproducing species in the world. The name mellifera itself means “honey-bearing” in Latin, a perfect tribute to their role
